The research station Elysium drifts dark and silent - nineteen days after something went very wrong. Its forty-seven crew are dead. You wake from cryo-sleep with no memory, a failing reactor below you, and perhaps an hour before it takes the whole station with it.
Find out what happened here. Decide who - if anyone - deserves to survive it. Your skills shape what you can see; your choices cannot all be taken back; and the clock is always running.
Gameplay

- 2d6 skill checks with white checks (retryable) and blood-red checks (one shot, permanent consequences)
- Thought Cabinet: internalise thoughts that reshape you — every insight grants a skill boost and quietly costs you something else
- Items and consumables that bend the odds when it matters
- Twin fail-states — Health and Morale — plus a reactor countdown: every room you enter burns real time
- A reactive world that remembers: rooms and objects change with what you've learned and done — branching paths and multiple endings
- 17 rooms, 13 characters, 40+ examinable objects, hand-written in a literary, melancholic noir voice
Technical Aspects
- Runs on stock 64 KB hardware and in emulation (.d64, VICE-tested)
- 320×200 hi-res, in colour, with a proportional font (~64 characters/line)
- 16.000 words of text streamed from disk via a custom fast-loader, with LZ + dictionary compression
- Play with keyboard, joystick (port 2) or 1351 mouse — fully mouse/joystick-driven menus
- Adaptive ambient audio that tightens with the reactor countdown, plus an in-game auto-map of where you've been

A note for other players: When running under VICE, make sure to activate "True Drive Emulation". It's necessary to make the direct-from-disk streaming work. If you don't, some images and most descriptive text simply won't appear, although the game seems to run correctly otherwise.
An interesting text adventure, good that you can also use a mouse. I added it to my video along with other games released in June.
